A Heavy on Fashion Read! A review of Bump it Up by Amy Tara Koch

Hey, Everyone! I am so happy to present my first book review on Heavy on Fashion. I received Bump it Up at the Getting Gorgeous with Degree event at the Metropolitan Pavilion in New York City back in April 2011. I had the chance to meet the author and I was in awe of Amy's style. I know it took me a minute to review this book but trust and believe me that Bump It Up is a fashion must whether you are pregnant or a lover of fashion and beauty! So without further ado, Here is A Heavy on Fashion Reads!

I pretty much highlighted the entire book! 

Summary

Many of Amy's tips do not just apply to if your are preggers but to anyone who need some TLC when it comes to fashion. Being pregnant and stylish is not the easiest thing to do in the world. For many pregnant fashion diva, Bump it up will be a great book to have. From how to save some money by using item in your closet to what essential pieces you need to buy; Bump it Up has all the tip you need to get through Pregnancy fashion woes!

Favorite Parts!

• The Fashion illustrations from some of the hottest designers in the industry including Diane Von Furtenburg, Whitney Pozgay of Kate Spade, Nicole Miller, and tons more.

• The beauty advice in Bump It Up is fabulous! Finding natural and safe beauty products to use while preggers is a task, luckily you can see some great tips in Bump It Up.  I really love the DIY beauty recipes for fabulous exfoliates and hydration creams.  The DIY tip for baggy eyes is a winner too.

• Lycra is not only a woman's best friend but also a woman with a bun in the oven. I also found out that Spanx has a great line called marvelous mama unbelievable underwear. Too good!

• The Monthly Maturity checklist throughout the book is essential for any and everyone with child in the belly.   I also love the fashion tips, they were very realistic to find and buy.  

I am so happy to find a pregnancy book that is real and fashionable. Since my husband and I are working on starting a family this year, I am really happy to add Bump It Up as a resource for my pregnancy lit.  I hope you will check out this book too whether you are aiming for a baby or look for a great fashion read!
